O.k. so now that CBS has released their new season of survivor, it came to me that the folks on the network are running out of concepts for the show.

No no, don’t get me wrong, I am sane and not bullshitting you. I bought them all on godaddy.com in a shopping spree that started at 08:00am PDT.

Am I a millionair? No.

An hour latter it started, I received an email for each domain, saying, get this: someone registered this domain before you.

“Who? Who the hell bought it?” I screamed staring at my Gmail mail box as the conspiracies began to ruffle my head…

How can it be, I got a confermation mail saying I am the owner… I am the owner… I am. I am dreaming?

Ten min latter, I got a phone call from a friend of mine saying:

I laughed.

No it’s not! It’s on Firefox’s spell check.

Isn’t it time for the guys at Firefox to update their browser spell check?

Come on, facebook, Skype, ebay, these are all words just like any other word.

“Skype me”, means: call me.

And “I facebooked her”, means, well you know what it means.

Adjust the spell check, it’s not rocket science!

•

I was trying to think of the right metaphor but I couldn’t. Nothing comes to mind.

You try- “Digg, being a misspell on Firefox’s spell check, is like…”

*

One more thing, the word Firefox on Firefox’s spell check, comes out fine.

Are you familiar with the Middle Ages/Renaissance age theory?

Well back at the Middle Ages only the poor drank water. The rich and “upper class” people drank wine.

By doing so, the “upper class” people, and the rich, which basically controlled everything, simply saying, were drunks. Therefore, the Middle Ages; A dark age with no prosperity, movement or any sort of progress. They where drunks. No more no less.

Now, as time passes something happened; they came to know a drink named: Coffee. At first, no one drank it due to its “poor taste”. But then a rumor came and spread, letting the people to believe that this “Coffee” is good for your stomach, and by that they began to consume it. By doing so, guess what, they woke up with all sort of “great ideas”… and this is the Middle Ages Renaissance age theory.

Now here’s another theory.

One of the “wines” that kept us “drunk” in the last 50 years or so named: T.V.

The couch potatoes of our times, are the drunks of the Middle Ages.

The “Coffee” is the mouse and the keyboard.

And the Renaissance age is the Internet age.

You see, we’re leaning forward.

Take a look at our youngsters. It seems that they just can’t sit in front of the T.V. without “doing something”. They need to stay active. They need it, because in the last 10 years, they’ve been active in front of a screen as opposed to us, the older people, who got used to keep passive as a couch potatoes, in front of the T.V. screen.

The networks executives needs to understand that the days of the passive T.V. are long gone. And if they want to keep pace, they need to start thinking for an active broadcasting.

The Internet, is the new T.V. and I am not renewing any concept here, or maybe I am, to some couch potatoes executives…
